I’ve been doing this since 1979. Or, as I like to think of it, forever.
I started the company in 2005. Before that, I spent 26 years at a company that did a lot of things; electrical work, appliance installations, kitchen design, HVAC, duct cleaning, etc. It was a small company, so when one section got busy it was all hands on deck. Because of that, I had my journeyman's electrician license, certificate for kitchen design, all of that stuff. I had been into wood work for my personal enjoyment for a number of years, so I knew carpentry too. I had a friend working for an appliance dealer at the time, and he found himself in a spot and asked me to come take a look. I got it to work, and that started me doing custom installations for this dealer on the evenings and weekends. It very quickly escalated to the point where I was getting more satisfaction doing that then my full time job. So, after 3 months of this, I tendered my resignation to my former employer and left on very good terms. I’ve been busy ever since.
Gryffin Services installs custom and high-end appliances in the Chester County area. I service private homeowners and new construction of family businesses. I can work magic, but not always miracles.
